I Am A Traveler In Both Time And Space
Version 1, Fringe Arts Bath, 23rd May - 8th June 2014
My contribution to the exhibition Timeslip, on show in Stall Street, Bath, UK, as part of Fringe Arts Bath, was a 3 Dimensional Collage constructed from hinged mirror tiles and old snapshots taken in different parts of the world and at different periods of time. Laying the photographs down on the surface of a plinth and then standing the hinged mirrors over them in a carefully arranged configuration the work, I am a Traveller in Both Time and Space, created a kaleidoscope of images endlessly repeating themselves into an infinite and seemingly impossible space. Taking techniques originally used by William S. Burroughs over fifty years ago I am a Traveller… developed these techniques further to illustrate how hidden dimensions may exist within the ones we are more commonly aware of. The work was presented as an homage to Burroughs in the one hundredth anniversary year of his birth.

Version 2, Autopoeisis, Buxton Festival Fringe, 6th July - 15th July 2018
In 2018 I revisited I Am A Traveler... for the exhibition Autopoeisis, part of the Buxton Festival Fringe. Alongside this piece I exhibited another version of Octavio Paz... and a sound piece, called Soundtrack in Search of a Film. This new version of I Am A Traveler... used record sleeves instead of photographs in order to tie it to the sound work.
